Questions regarding Calling for Editorial Board Members

Recently, I have been sending out invitations to potential editorial board members. Qualifications may be found at http://thefutureenergy.org/?p=720 and http://futureenergysp.com. The invitations are based on my understanding of the experts’ publications, and I often assume that the expert’s research group has more publications that have the similar quality as the paper I read.

Sometimes the invitation will hit the student who is the corresponding author of a published paper. In this kind of cases, an invitee needs to have a strong publication record, and some of invitee’s publications have to be on SCI journals. By insisting Qualifications, we may avoid this scenario “I found my student is on the editorial board of that journal, and he/she doesn’t have any good publications. This must be a predatory journal”.
