One research article caught my attention today. A group of researchers from the Algae Production And Research Center at Wageningen University, Netherlands built and run 4 types of algal pilot scale photobioreactors side by side: raceway pond, horizontal tubular reactor, vertically stacked tubular reactor and flat panels. Their publication mainly described the design and construction of their pilot facility. We are hoping to read their experimental results in the near future.
