Resigning from the editorial board of JPEB

Today, I resigned from the editorial board of Journal of Petroleum & Environmental Biotechnology, which is an OMICS Group’s journal. I didn’t give a reason in the resignation letter. However, I would like to share the reasons to whom it may concern.

1) My privilege as an editorial board member had been revoked, because the publisher only wants the money from my wallet.

2) They refused to correct numerous typos in my publication; obviously their target is not the scientific value. I feel that my paper was hijacked.

3) I knew that OMICS was classified as a predatory publisher,  but I worked with this journal from its first article, and tried to make it better. It’s time to look forward.
